As a young girl, Klaudia remembers seeing a squirrel struggling to climb a tree because of an injured leg. She wondered if the leg would heal and the squirrel would survive. At that moment, Klaudia knew she wanted to pursue a career in healthcare. As Klaudia started playing sports, her passion for health grew stronger. This led her to focus on rehabilitative therapy services – specifically, occupational therapy – to help people regain the ability to perform daily tasks.
As an Occupational Therapy Student Educator at Stockton University, Klaudia provided education on evidenced-based topics. She also created and facilitated group activities focused on mental health and the older adult community.
As a Graduate Assistant, Klaudia managed the Get FIT program for adolescents and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities living at home or in supportive housing. She also assisted with Get FIT Kids, a cooking and exercise class for kids ages 8-12 with autism, and Get FIT Seniors, an exercise program for older adults in an assisted living facility.
Klaudia has developed two Professional Research Presentations: Effects of Humor on Quality of Life, and Occupational Performance in Individuals with Depression.
